EconCore continues to support the “CQS racing team”
Published on 18-02-2014
The CQS Group T Racing Team is a team of Industrial Engineering master students of the Group T International School of Engineering @ KULeuven. The team focuses on bringing topics like ecology to the official racing competition. They started from scratch on converting a Citroën 2CV (or Tin Snail) to a competing racing car with the focus on ecological technologies and innovations in mind. EconCore provides the team with strong and stiff lightweight materials for the reinforcement of the doors. In the meantime the students look at other possibilities to reduce the weight of the car by changing traditional materials with EconCore’s lightweight materials.
In the past EconCore supported other KULeuven racing teams with materials for light weight battery packs of electrical driven cars.
